Best forRV owners and small-home backup users who want electric start, a 30A outlet and propane on a wheeled inverter for roughly a third of Honda money.

This is the Champion that RV owners buy when they want electric start, a 30A outlet and propane in a package that is still wheeled and under 100 lbs. It makes 3,100 running watts on gasoline and 2,790 on propane, enough for a fridge, furnace blower, sump pump and lights, and for most 13,500 BTU rooftop air conditioners. Owner reports are generally good on value: it costs less than half of a Honda EU3000iS and the push-button start and included battery make it easier to live with than a recoil-only unit. Three things get complained about: the 1.6 gallon tank only gives about 7.5 hours at a quarter load, the 59 dBA rating is louder in practice than the quiet Japanese units, and the 30A outlet is a 120V locking L5-30, which does not feed a 240V transfer switch. Parallel kits are sold separately.
