3,400 W running, 3,800 W surge — sustains the fridge, freezer and the essentials tier and everything below it.

Best forRV owners and tailgaters who want electric start and 3.4 kW at well under a thousand dollars, and who will run a separate CO alarm.

The 3,800-watt step in WEN's closed-case inverter line, with electric start, wheels and a folding handle. It makes 3,400 running watts, enough for a fridge, furnace blower and most RV air conditioners on a soft start, and it costs roughly a third of a Honda EU3200i. The price, and an electric start that makes it painless in a cold garage, win it fans. Complaints center on the 99 lb weight, the 57 dB rating taken at a quarter load so full-load noise is higher, and parts and service that run through WEN rather than a dealer network. There is no CO shutoff sensor on this model, so owners need a separate CO alarm. The TT-30R is a 120V outlet and does not feed a 240V transfer switch. WEN publishes no weight figure; the 99 lbs is a retailer's number.
